Other TIG Ideas
1. Back On My Feet: A CNN Hero runner started this in Philadelphia to help to motivate the homeless and less fortunate.
2. Bicycle For Life: This is a TTP original idea as a fund raising event.
3. Transition Tales: This is a transition network idea operating in other towns having a group of writers write about how they see the future unfolding.
4. Streets For People: This is a TTP original to advocate 21st century design for our streets (i.e. for people rather than only cars) to build a stronger community.
5. Urban Chickens: At this stage do we know how many chickens you can have in the city?
6. Round Abouts for Us: This is a TTP original. Lets cut out all trafic lights in the City by 2020. Round Abouts in different sizes are safer, less expensive and save energy.
7. Wildlife at the Dump: This is not a good name but apparently in Guelph, Ontario a program is running to encourage better habitat for bees.Story in Canadian Geographic.
8. Now House: Demo Program in Toronto to renovate war time housing to near zero energy use for heating.
9. Local Food Co-op: We want to support our food growing/buying/distribution co-op, By the Bushel Food Co-op.
